Saint Norbert’s School has been on its current site for over 50 years, the school has grown over the past 50 years from 2 classrooms to the 7 classrooms single form entry school it is now. Our school has gone through an amazing transformation over the past five years with the addition of 2 new classrooms and a wonderful new hall.

The main aim of the school is to try to provide an education for children suited to their age, ability, aptitude and needs so that they are encouraged and helped to reach their full potential. The school is eager to build and develop a partnership between the family, the school and the Church that encourages and supports the children as they develop and mature. The school sees the child as being at the heart of the education process and believes that to be fully effective the curriculum must relate directly to each child’s needs as well as the teachers’ skills and the resources and facilities available. Each child needs to be helped to learn and to progress at his/her own pace, whilst being fully stretched. Ability comes in a variety of forms and this school strives to recognise these and reward any meaningful talents.

The school also provides an experience of a living Catholic community and in this way plays its part in the initiation of the children into the full life of the Church. Saint Norbert’s School has very strong links with the Parish with children attending Mass. The children at Saint Norbert’s are very well supported by families and parishioners throughout their faith journey including Sacramental preparation.
